“Everly is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Madison! The staff is so warm and inviting, and the menu is so thoughtful and creative. Whenever my family is hosting out-of-town guests, Everly is a delicious stop for shareable plates, a neighborhood vibe, and Madison hospitality.” – Phillip
“Edgewood High School was/is an aquatic training facility for Badger Aquatics Club (BAC) Swim Team; remembering 2005-2009 I would drop high school swimmers off at the pool for their 2 hour daily after school training and stroll Monroe Street. A particular stand out shop was Orange Tree Imports (Orange Tree Imports opened in 1975 and continues today as an unique shop to find those special year-round gifts for friends and family) to pick-up specialty gifts; from there meeting friends to try new foods and experience local specialty restaurants. Monroe Street has so much to offer; an experience you will not want to miss while visiting Madison.” – Patti
“When I was living on the west side of Madison I would meet my friends at Pizza Brutta for their delicious Neapolitan style pizza. I love the 500 degree brick wood fire oven that cooks the pizza in less than 5 minutes. Delicious sweet sauce and house made fresh mozzarella cheese! It is a must go when you’re in Madison.” – Jerinna
“Mickies Dairy Bar – This Wisconsin institution has been around since the 1950’s and has been my favorite spot to have breakfast since moving here in 2005! The reasonably priced food, HUMONGOUS serving sizes, and warm bustling atmosphere make this place a must-go if you’re visiting Madison for the first time, or the 100th time.” – Max
“I love Monroe Street! Bloom Bake Shop has a really welcoming atmosphere, delicious sweets, and friendly staff. (My go to order when I stop for lunch is the Wisconsin Biscuit Sandwich with bacon, egg, cheese, stoneground mustard, and a buttermilk biscuit.) I like stopping in Hive of Madison, a local outdoor lifestyle boutique, to check out their merchandise, especially SmartWool socks.” – Allie
“We are so lucky to have Trader Joe’s on Monroe Street! Whether you need a quick meal, a nice unique grocery selection, or an inexpensive nice bottle of wine, Trader Joe’s is your spot! My favorite “go-to’s” are the amazing selection of chocolate covered nuts, chocolate marshmallows, and chocolate pretzels. I also always have to pick up some cheese and of course try out the sample of whatever they are serving that day! Also, their greeting cards are only 99 cents!! I hear of people driving over an hour or more to shop there and we are so fortunate to have it in our neighborhood!” – Heather
